Tevita Gonelevu

A great many disappointed subscribers to Sky Pacific pay TV, think he is acting like one.. just check out the following links to see what they are saying.

http://www.fijitimes.com/story.aspx?id=276402

Harry Pal The reality is the Board of Fiji TV has made a mess of this situation. What a PR and publicity disaster? In today;s Fiji times, the Fox Network in their “Smart PR” have in their “smart way” are telling us ” They do not want to deal with wannabees who collectively cant run a PayTV business, from the Board to Management of Fiji TV.

Rahul Prasad You People are bloody money makers and nothing else.. Removing all the good channels with the crappy free to air channels? Where the hell did u do the customer feedback survey? were the customers even informed about this survey through any form of media?? I am a customer of Sky Pacific for the past so many years and all I get now is disappointment? Having to compromise with the television content I like? I will take this issue up to the consumer council. We will not tolerate this consumer exploitation !!!

Roneel Prakash For Television “CONTENT IS KING” and CONTENT MUST BE LEGALLY CLEARED FOR THE BROADCAST REGIONS THAT SKY PACIFIC COVERS. So you really think that the content on BBC, Nat Geo, Discovery, Home n Health, Star Plus and other were illegal……regions where sky pacific covers is the same island countries, its not that you live in a state where religious obligations ban the viewing of such channels……the way you are going….in the next “UPDATING PROCESS OF CHANNELS ON SKY PAC’ will see the free to air channels from the pacific islands that you and those who support you will see as conducive content……I CHALLENGE YOU……TAKE A REAL SURVEY……ONE WHERE YOU GET OFF YOUR SEATS AND APPROACH THE CUSTOMERS……then find out what we really think of your changes……as of this moment…….zero positive comment…….imagine what those who are not on FB would love to share one on one!!!! Where is the bloody Dislike icon/link on this Page……Shame i just had to lie to myself that i like the page…..just to bloody comment……Your choice of Entertainment idea abosolutly fill in the blank!!!!! Sky pacific is being a catalyst to the people of the islands suffering from depression…..nothing on tv that is good to come home to……I seriously wonder if FBC TV had entities to show more channels would cover……at the moment Bati ni Tanoa would out rate anything that SKY PATHETIC would have to show……once again these are my views and my suggestions………CONTENT IS KING……that coming from you guys doesnt suit………CONTENT is CARP(and you know there are more to this) is more like what you have made me to conclude!!!! Cant wait for EPL on FBC!!!!!

Sky Pacific Fiji Pathetic Services
We have come together as a community to complain about the management of Sky Services, who changed their channels without public consultation

Community: 1,748 like this
Suva Expats “For Television “CONTENT IS KING”:
For Business THE CUSTOMER IS KING!!!! NOT your product. What business school did you go to?
“Sky Pacific is confident that the new line-up is more entertaining”
What planet are you living on??? huh? Reading all the complaints about your “new line up” is more entertaing that your new programs.

“…a CHOICE TO BE ENTERTAINED, by a Pacific owned brand.”
You are kidding right? It was not your customers choice! Haven’t you heard anything your customers are saying the last few days? Or do you think if you bury yor head in the sand that it will all go away. Well somthing will go away YOUR CUSTOMERS!

“…will continue to bring the best available content to the Pacific”
What do you mean BEST AVAILABLE CONTENT. Do you seriously believe France 24 is better than the BBC? Bio is better than Discovery? They are just cheaper and far inferior and not worth paying for. And by “available” do you mean we have a choice? We have no choice. You are a monopoly.

AND MANY MANY MORE…. FEEL FREE TO ADD YOUR COMMENTS, WRITE TO THE CONSUMER COUNCIL, YOU HAVE A VOICE , USE IT

Is this man a Bigot and a Racist ?

LQ2Former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase told people of Tuilovoni in Davuilevu Housing in a SODELPA campaign meeting last night that we can never be equal no matter how hard the FijiFirst tries to have equal citizenry in Fiji.

Qarase said to about 80 people attending the campaign meeting that he believes that God has given Fiji to the Itaukei and not to any other race.

He said the reason why he wants people of other races not to be equal with the Itaukei is because of his belief that God has given the land to the forefathers of the Itaukei people.

Qarase has also come out and said that he wants Fiji to be a Christian state because christianity brought civilisation to Fiji.

He then said that some may think that this is racist but he is just worried about the future of the I-Taukei.

The former Prime Minister also claims that SODELPA is going to the blog-sites because the party believes that the media is not providing them with much coverage.

Equal citizenry is guaranteed in the 2013 constitution.

It states in the preamble that “we the people of Fiji declare that we are all Fijians united by common and equal citizenry”.

The constitution also states that all citizens of Fiji shall be known as Fijians.

It is also stated that every person has the right to freedom of religion, conscience and belief and every person has the right, either individually or in community with others, in private or in public, to manifest and practise their religion or belief in worship, observance, practice or teaching.

Who Gets Elected ?

Prof WNElection Issues 20:   Again, who gets elected from the Party?

Many voters are still confused about how the “successful” candidates will be decided by the Elections Office.

Many are still thinking that the Party’s Preferred List and ranking of candidates will be used to decide who are elected.  NO. NO. NO.

Whether any candidate is elected will be decided not just by how many votes the Party receives in total, but also by how many votes the candidates themselves receive relative to their fellow candidates.

Let me simplify the article I had written previously, which was too long for many readers and had too many lessons in it (even if they were all important).

Eliminate Independents and Parties below 5% threshold

Locked in an Unbreakable Embrace

fiji firstFor better or worse Vorege ( Call me Frank)Bainimarama is locked in an unbreakable embrace with the man he has handed over control of our nation to; Aiyaz Sayed – Khaiyum.
Minister for Trade

Sink or swim, for better or worse, this marriage made in hell could destroy all Franks hopes, ambition and unfortunately most of the good he has achieved over the past 7 years, regardless of the fact our children’s children will have to pay the monetary debts he and his henchman have incurred.

Frank thinks he and his second First Party have as good as won the election, he may soon be very disappointed.

There are a great many voters who can see Aiyaz Sayed – Khaiyum for what he really is, and they do not like what they see. They do not want Aiyaz Sayed – Khaiyum to run Fiji for another four or more years.

We only have a few weeks to wait to see exactly how many.

Political-CorruptionWhere there is lack of transparency and accountability corruption flourishes, it erodes the worth of a nation and its people.

We in Fiji have had a totally non transparent administration for the past 7 years. There should be no immunity from prosecution for corrupt practices whilst holding political office.

WE ALL HAVE THE POWER TO STOP THIS ROT IF WE USE OUR VOTE IN SEPTEMBER.

REMEMBER THIS WHEN YOU VOTE.

Brigadier-General Mosese Tikoitoga SMH Interview

Young FB

2006… A younger, fitter and still in control Frank Bainimarama

As Fiji prepares for its first elections in eight years, the new head of the all-powerful armed forces has admitted that citizens have been beaten and tortured by the military regime, claiming it was necessary to stave off civil disorder.

“I wouldn’t deny that these things happened,” said Brigadier-General Mosese Tikoitoga, hand-picked successor of Frank Bainimarama, who has stepped down from the military to contest the elections. “But a lot of these people were actually trying to instigate violence by creating anti-government movements or militant groups.

“They were talking on the radio and so on … If you let them continue to have a voice, you create a potentially dangerous environment. So it was the lesser of two devils.”

In his first interview with an overseas media organisation since taking over as commander in March, General Tikoitoga also vowed that the military would respect the result of the September 17 election. “We will not have another coup, as such – that’s quite definite,” he said.

However, the army would not tolerate an elected government rewriting the new constitution, he said. The constitution – drafted by the regime of self-appointed Prime Minister Mr Bainimarama, and Fiji’s fourth such document in 34 years – grants immunity from prosecution to everyone involved in the December 2006 coup.

One can understand Brigadier-General Mosese Tikoitoga support for the constitution that gives immunity from prosecution for those that took part in the 2006 coup, but does he also support the corruption and lack of transparency in government that has been in effect for the past 5 years since the military council had little or no say in this administrations policies?

Brigadier-General Mosese Tikoitoga is an intelligent man, he is fully aware as many others are, who is playing the tune that our esteemed leader is dancing to. Will he allow  this to continue after September ??? Can Fiji as a nation afford it to continue ?

Bainimarama deprived Fiji aged of their Civil Rights

fiji firstPrime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said during the implementation of the FNPF Pension Reform that the step had to be taken to ensure that the Fund is sustainable in the future.

There were other ways, and these were put forward to Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama but he choose to ignore them, and choose to breach legal and binding contracts that a few pensioners had, further to ensure that these pensioners could not seek recourse through a court of law his government introduced a decree preventing pensioners taking their case to court and thereby depriving them of their basic civil rights.

Add to this the simple truth that in his SEVEN years of administration he and his government has done NOTHING to improve the pension situation for future Fiji pensioners… Except of course himself, ensuring that he will receive a Rear Admirals pension, plus any other perks he will be paid by the taxpayers as a former Prime Minister.

EVERY SENIOR CITIZEN OF FIJI, THEIR CHILDREN AND THEIR GRAND CHILDREN SHOULD REMEMBER THIS WHEN THEY VOTE

Sense of purpose ‘adds years to life’
By Helen Briggs.

old captain

Having a sense of purpose may add years to your life, regardless of what the purpose is, research suggests.

Not only does it contribute to healthy aging, but it may also stave off early death, according to a study of 7,000 Americans.

The research, published in Psychological Science, applies across adult life, says a US-Canadian team.

It may be because purposeful people look after their health better and are physically fitter, they believe.

The study tracked the physical and mental health of more than 7,000 US adults aged 20 to 75 years.

Their purpose in life was assessed by the extent to which they agreed or disagreed with three statements:

  • Some people wander aimlessly through life, but I am not one of them

  • I live life one day at a time and don’t really think about the future

  • I sometimes feel as I’ve done all there is to do in life.

When followed up 14 years later, the researchers found purposeful people had outlived their counterparts, even when controlling for other factors such as negative mood.

ASK 5More calls made for AG to resign as Minister for Elections

More calls have been made today for Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum to resign as Minister for Elections after he took up the General Secretary’s post in the proposed FijiFirst.

THIS IS SO WRONG, WHEN WILL THE OPPOSING POLITICAL PARTIES GET IT RIGHT ?

THIS MAN HAS HIS FINGERS IN SO MANY GOVERNMENT MINISTRIES WITH COMMERCIAL AFFILIATIONS THAT HE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

ATTORNEY GENERAL, MINISTER FOR JUSTICE OR MINISTER FOR ANTI CORRUPTION.

BP PassWe suppose it was to be expected, after all the name Fiji First Party was filched in a way, since it had been registered before, and so it seems that it is flexible in the general standards of its officials,

Frank should know better as a naval man, particularly as a Rear Admiral, than to leave himself, and his party, open to broadside volleys.

He has been more than flexible in allowing his favoured media outlets to breach decrees that his administration has imposed, so his party VP may have thought it acceptable not to disclose embarrassing information.

Could it be Frank, that some of your trusted advisors are treating you like a mushroom, keeping you in the dark and feeding you fertiliser just to keep you happy. ???

Look around Frank, the information is everywhere, check out the following links they all make interesting reading.

Finally Frank consider the old saying “One cannot build castles on shifting (or shifty) sands.

Check out these links Frank:

Now is the time to take that Huge Leap Forward and become transparent in all the administration does, not after the elections, NOW.
