The Bankers are still Bastards

S J StampThe modern banking system manufacturers money out of nothing. The process is perhaps the most astounding piece of sleight of hand that was ever invented. Banking was conceived in iniquity, and born in sin. Bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of a pen, they will create enough money to buy it back again. Take this great power away from them, and all great fortunes like mine will disappear. And, they ought to disappear, for then this would be a better and happier world to live in. But if you want to continue to be slaves to the bankers, and pay the cost of your own slavery, then let bankers continue to create money, and control credit.

It is simply a matter of TRUST

Clearly the EU cannot trust an administration that will breach basic contractual laws to steal money from their own Pensioners.

Marcus C“The Deputy Director General of Europeaid Marcus Cornaro maintains that the 4 million Euros will be channeled through the Australia Pacific Technical College for the training of Fijians connected with the sugarcane industry. “

Questions have been raised on why the EU has decided to have this partnership with Australia.

Cornaro maintains that it is just about efficiencies in how the aid will be used.

“Commodore Bainimarama said the government believes that if the European Commission is genuine about development and assistance, it must reconsider its association with Australia Pacific Technical College and work with organizations such as the Fiji National University and the government to achieve the best results for all Fijians.”

Obviously Frank you do not count the existing FNPF Pensioners amongst the Fijians you refer to.

These profits were achieved by stealing by stealing pensions from the aged and writing decrees to deprive them of their basic civil right to appeal through a court of law to rectify the injustice committed by the government of Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, who whilst demanding that the world should treat him and his administration fairly, has not hesitated to support his Attorney General in writing decrees to breach pensioners contracts and put pensioners lives in jeopardy.
Taito 2The Fiji National Provident Fund has recorded a net surplus of $293.4 million for the financial year ending June 30th 2013.

According to Chief Executive Officer Aisake Taito, this is an increase of $178 million from last year.

Taito said this was also a record year for FNPF contribution collection from 288,000 active members which is $342 million.

He added that investment income increased by $31 million for FNPF from $249 million while the total assets now stands at $4.2 billion.

Taito said the fund has also managed to credit a 5.5 percent interest to all members’ accounts.

Fiji’s 4th Constitution by Ratu Jone Madraiwiwi

Ratu JoniIn promulgating Fiji’s new and fourth Constitution earlier this September, the country’s leaders hailed it as “the Constitution Fiji needed to have in order to join the ranks of the world’s great democracies”, and described the event in triumphal terms ranging from “historic” to “revolutionary.”

The document is certainly progressive in some respects: it provides, for instance, an expansive bill of rights with particular emphasis on socio–economic and cultural rights; an equitable and non-racial electoral system in place of the communal based systems as well as oversight institutions to promote transparency, accountability and combat corruption. It also creates a common Fijian national identity, which for the first time makes all citizens ‘Fijians’ irrespective of their ethnic identity. The Constitution also transfers the powers of the Great Council of Chiefs (GCC) to appoint the President to Parliament. Unlike before, this makes any Fijian, regardless of ethnicity more likely to be appointed to this office. In general, the removal of this institution, which—because of its exclusively Taukei composition—tended to favor members of this indigenous community, creates hope for more equal opportunities to all especially with the recognition of ‘Fijian’ as a single national identity. But is this enough to earn such glowing description or is the government just indulging in unwarranted self-praise? Continue reading →

Ludicrous Logic

trust agEvery time Frank is out of the country the Attorney General becomes Acting Prime Minister and by his own implication becomes Government.

In this latest fiasco he really believes he can dictate to world sporting bodies and international organisations that control video audio line feed. The man appears power mad. When he spouts “Government has decided” It means HE has decided.

He has now decided (probably at the behest of his “Little Brother” ) that an independent broadcaster who has successfully made a bid, based on advertising revenue, and as a result has EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS for the IRB 7’s series, Rugby League World Cup. Super Rugby, Rugby Championships and the next Rugby World Cup tournament, MUST according to this man, share these exclusive rights with his Little Brother and other competitors. Clearly he has no concept of the word EXCLUSIVE.

He is sufficiently arrogant or could it be ignorant?, to think that international providers will take note of his instruction to accept a combined bid from all parties, totally disregarding the fact that it sets a precedent that would destroy the international bidding process.

We have no problem with the international organisers of events telling him to “ F Off”, what we do have a problem with is that the end result of this disastrous decision will be that the people of Fiji will not see major world events because the international providers will refuse to dance to the Fiji Attorney Generals tune.

Message for the Prime Minister (who we think is really doing a good job)

Frank if in the 2014 Elections a vote for you is a vote for this man, a great many of us will not be voting for you…sorry.

PresidentPlease Frank can we now have a new Attorney General and Minister for Anti Corruption, one that does not have his finger in every government commercial pie. One that does not constantly seek publicity and glorification of self.

Just a good honest legal professional with substantial legal experience.

Can we have one now and not in 12 months time.

Can you make a genuine effort to stop high level corruption NOW.

Corruption at the Top

WE IN FIJI ALSO HAVE CORRUPTION AT THE VERY TOP OF THE ADMINISTRATION, YET UNLIKE CHINA WE DO NOTHING ABOUT IT.

JIEMINChinese authorities have announced a corruption investigation into Jiang Jiemin, the head of the commission that oversees state-owned companies.

The supervision ministry said Mr Jiang was suspected of a “serious violation of discipline”. He has not publicly commented on the allegations.

The term is used to refer to corruption by managers of state companies.

President Xi Jinping has vowed to eradicate corruption in China, warning that it threatens the Communist Party.

Recent months have seen several high-profile corruption cases against high-ranking officials, including disgraced senior party official Bo Xilai, who was put on trial for bribery, embezzlement and abuse of power in August.

The verdict in his case is expected “at a date to be decided”. Mr Bo denies all charges.

Until March Mr Jiang was head of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), which has faced a number of corruption allegations.

Last week it was announced that another four CNPC executives were under investigation for corruption.

Earlier in August the general manager of state-owned phone company China Mobile Ltd was detained in the southern province of Guangdong. He too is being investigated for discipline violations.

fijiflagwaving“The dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts, far outweigh the dangers that are cited to justify them.”

Say NO to TOTAL IMMUNITY that includes immunity for Government Ministers from prosecution for CORRUPTION.
