This FNPF fiasco appears to be the outcome of criminal negligence on the part of its management and complete disregard for the members who now appear, due to retrospective amendment of Fund Rules, to be about to lose the major portion of their pension entitlements. Whoever agreed to the loan of $400 million to Air Pacific, a company not known for a profit record, was out of his mind. No-one with the least business acumen would have agreed to it. That the Fiji Government condoned this is reprehensible.
