OrwellIn our age there is no such thing as ‘keeping out of politics.’ All issues are political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred and schizophrenia.

Transparency or Corruption. Your Choice

There can be do doubt that lack of transparency facilitates corruption and incompetence, which leads to a waste of taxpayers monies, increased national debt and an ever increasing burden on future generations.

It is also true that Franks administration and period of government could have been much more successful had he fully endorsed and supported transparency in all aspects of government business.

The following is one mans view, which is supported by statistics provided by him and as yet is unchallenged by the administration.

We welcome the administrations response in the comments column of this article.

MORE RIPPLES IN FIJI’S RULE OF LAW
RUTH

Townsend claims Pryde’s statement misleading.

Former Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions, Ruth Townsend is claiming that she did not resign for further opportunities,Townsend said that the statement by Director of DPP, Christopher Pryde that she resigned for other opportunities is misleading. (what a surprise)

Townsend said that she was only unhappy with certain things at the DPP’s office.

Got to learn to kiss a lot of legal posteriors if one wants to succeed in that office, so could it be that Ruth Townsend is a woman with principles?

Another Smart Move For Frank

rear admiralPromotion to Rear Admiral ensures you receive the maximum military pension for your retirement Frank, a very smart move. But considering the treatment you served out to the FNPF pensioners, it seems that there is one rule for you and bugger the rest.

To make matters worse your administration has permitted a split off of monies belonging to FNPF members and the FNPF is now a major shareholder in a new local bank that is doomed to follow in the footsteps of the National Bank of Fiji.

Don’t worry Frank you will still get your taxpayers funded Rear Admirals pension, even if you lose the election, even if the FNPF goes broke, you will be OK.

Social Destructive and Liability Party

BABAThe Social Democratic and Liberal Party has made it’s stand clear that it will re-instate the itaukei and multi ethnic based scholarship programmes if it forms the next government after the elections.

When SODELPA was questioned on why it wants to bring back the race based scholarships, senior party official, Doctor Tupeni Baba said SODELPA will not change this stand.

Doctor Baba said although SODELPA has decided to contest the elections under the 2013 constitution, the party does not accept the new scholarship and student loan schemes brought in as they have not been approved by an elected parliament.

Doctor Baba said it does not matter that the previous scholarship programme which SODELPA wants to bring back was race based.

It appears that SODELPA also prefers and wants to encourage race based voting, if so they should be registered under the name : “Social Destructive and Liability Party”

Old Habits Die Hard

palmA Director of Public Prosecutions and an Attorney General have been stranded on a desert island for several months after their favourite helicopter crashed.

The only thing on the island was a tall coconut tree that provided them their daily food and drink.

Each day one of them would climb to the top of the tree to see if he could see a rescue boat coming…

One day the Director of Public Prosecutions yelled down from the tree, “WOW, I just can’t believe my eyes. There is a woman out there floating in our direction.”

The Attorney General on the ground was skeptical and said, “You’re hallucinating, you’ve finally lost your mind.”

But within a few minutes, up on the beach floated a stunningly beautiful woman, face up, totally naked, unconscious, without even so much as a ring or earrings on her person.

The two lawyers went down to the water, dragged her up on the beach and discovered, yes, she was alive, warm and breathing.
The Director of Public Prosecutions said to the Attorney General, “You know, we’ve been on this Godforsaken island for months now without a woman. It’s been such a long, long time… So … Do you think we should… well… you know… screw her?”

“Out of WHAT?” asked the Attorney General?

Pensioners & Graduates Casting Vote

FB DeskAs the past politicians and aspiring politicians prepare to take on Frank, who “cannot see the wood for the trees” and is so perpetually blinded by the local Suns shining predictions, that he cannot see that the cronyism and corruption being generated in the highest offices of his administration could eventually not only be his downfall, but will certainly tarnish all the good he has done. These achievements when put on the scales of history will be more than counterbalanced by corruption, lack of transparency and blatant manipulation of the rule of law.

None of the aspiring leaders appear to appreciate that the combined total of young graduates and pensioners represent the majority of voters at this time, yet they are not accommodating them in pre election promises or more importantly proposed post election programs.

REMEMBER THIS WHEN YOU VOTE.

The following attached article by Professor Wadan Narsey provides more factual logic than will ever shine out of the local SUN:>

Ro Tem 2Social Democratic Liberal Party leader Ro Teimumu Kepa has made a public statement that they will revoke all current decrees if they form a government after the coming general election.

Fiji Pensioners believe that Frank will get a lot more support if he revokes, the illegal, immoral, obscene and unnecessary FNPF decree NOW.

Matthew 18:6
“If anyone causes one of these little ones–those who believe in me–to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.
